In collaboration with Carbon Limits, ICA-Finance is delivering technical and financial training in Venezuela to support the country’s efforts in methane emission mitigation.

The training takes place in October 2022 and consists of two modules focused on the financial implications of methane emission abatement and the deployment of Mist, a methane inventory software and tool for energy companies and national and private actors.

The financing module discusses the business model behind methane mitigation financing and the potential role of ICA-Finance in extending such support. The course explores ICA-Finance's potential collaboration with the national NOC and Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA) regarding the implementation of methane mitigation projects.

The Mist module presents and assesses the characteristics and implementation benefits of the tool in Venezuela to support the national and PDVSA’s efforts in managing methane emissions.
